Hilton Hotels has appointed Adam Reckert General Manager of the Manchester Deansgate site.
Reckert joins Hilton Manchester Deansgate after beginning his career in the hospitality industry as part of his Elevator Graduate program. Since then he has held a number of positions at Hilton in various hotels around the world, including Hiltons in Abuja, Barcelona, the Seychelles and Abu Dhabi, most recently as General Manager of the Radisson Blu Liverpool.
The newly appointed Managing Director will oversee all departments of the 239-story 279-room hotel and is responsible for all elements of the organization.
Reckert said, "I am thrilled to be appointed General Manager of Hilton Manchester Deansgate. It is one of the most iconic hotels in the northwest and with the wonderful team we have we can offer our guests some exceptional experiences. I applied for the position of Front Office Manager in the hotel's preparatory phase at the age of 25, but was unsuccessful. I have promised to return to the property as General Manager – for me it is the best job in town.

The Hilton Manchester Deansgate houses the city's highest bar, Cloud23, on the hotel's 23rd floor. The hotel also offers a range of function rooms and conference rooms, including Cloud23 and the podium, the restaurant on the ground floor.
Reckert continued: "2019 will be an exciting year; We're about to launch our new menu in Cloud23 and reposition Cloud23, not only as the highest tea and cocktail bar in the afternoon, but also as one of the city's best-known event destinations. We're really trying to reach new customers who have never considered Cloud23 for private dinners, banquet rooms, or birthday parties.
"In the meantime, we will engage with our guests at every opportunity, open a new entrance to our bar and redesign the image of the restaurant to really focus on the guests' engagement.
