The Biltmore is under Hilton's agreement with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels under Hilton's new luxury collection brand LXR Hotels & Resorts.
The luxury hotel, which is located in the heart of Mayfair on Grosvenor Square, will open in the spring of 2019 and is the appearance of the new brand in Europe.
The hotel, which will be known as The Biltmore, Mayfair – LXR Hotels & Resorts, has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment following its closure in early July 2018. Designed by Goddard Littlefair, the hotel offers 257 luxurious guest rooms, many overlooking Grosvenor Square and 51 curated suites.
Martin Rinck, Hilton's Executive Vice President and Global Head of Luxury & Lifestyle Group, said, "LXR hotels are truly world-class hotels known for their unmistakable character and unmatched service. We are incredibly excited that The Biltmore, Mayfair will open up everything the brand stands for by becoming the first LXR hotel in Europe to join. "
LXR is a collection of independent hotels that, according to Hilton, are characterized by an "unrivaled commitment to personal attention and luxurious, yet immersive experiences for guests". Last year, the collection welcomed its first hotel in Dubai at Habtoor Palace, a 234-room luxury hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The Biltmore, Mayfair features a year-round outdoor terrace, an exclusive cocktail bar and a large gym with exercise facility. In addition, the hotel will feature a 500 m² ballroom that can accommodate up to 700 guests. Other suites are available for smaller events.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, Senior VP, Development, EMEA, Hilton, said: "The LXR is designed to bring together the best in luxury in global destinations. The Biltmore, Mayfair is an impressive addition to the new collection and the prestigious expansion of Hilton's growing luxury portfolio in London. Guests will experience first-class service in the heart of Mayfair. The unique craftsmanship and historic surroundings of the hotel make for a memorable stay. "
